The instances between seeing and marking are the moments where I feel great questions are asked and answered. The works in this series are of those moments. They are the interpretations of space and air that I find beautiful. I want to paint what it feels like to breathe while you are looking at the intricacy of a tree or the ever-changing landscape. I hope that something of the moments I have experienced are translated to the viewers and cause their own questions. That the whispering between the experience of seeing and the marks made can be something that the layers of paint assume.
